You know you are an artist, now think like a business! As an artist, we have access to unlimited imagination and some great ideas for creating things. Our imagination is the gift “from the universe” to us, and it is our job as artists to take what we experience in imagination and transform it into something that can be shared with others in the physical world.
It is in the sharing of our imagination that it becomes possible for us to earn money. If we do not share what we have to offer, there is no way we can get paid for keeping it to ourselves. We must do something for others if we want them to pay us.
The Author
Jim Gardner received his bachelor’s degree in art from the University of Wisconsin in 1973. He has worked in print shops, ad agencies and sign shops, and has done custom painting on automobiles and motorcycles.
